The nearest commercial airport is the Cherry Capital Airport located approximately 50 miles southwest of Charlevoix in Traverse City. A ferry is available in Charlevoix to Beaver Island. Daily flights are available to cities such as Detroit, Chicago, and Minneapolis from the major airlines United Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and American Eagle. An alternate option is the Pellston Regional Airport located approximately 35 miles northeast of Charlevoix. Northwest Airlines provides flights to airports in Detroit, Chicago, and Minneapolis.
