Description
Bolinas Ridge Trail, located in the Golden Gate Recreation Area, features trails with good climbing and smooth descents speckled with sections of roots and rocks. Bolinas Ridge Trail is considered amongst Marin County’s finest mountain biking trails.
Bolinas Ridge Trail is located near Mt. Tamalpais and combines old fire roadways and double-track, with a very short section of singletrack riding. Though climbing is demanding on Bolinas Ridge, the payoff is amazing views of Pt. Reyes and Tomales Bay from atop high bluffs. Along the way, Bolinas Ridge Trail meanders through coastal Redwood groves and up onto the grasslands that sweep along the coast.
Riders looking for a shorter trail ride can option for a car shuttle rather than out and back. A car shuttle cuts the ride to 11 miles with 550’ elevation gain.
