Description
Widewaters Campground is situated on the Indian Wild and Scenic River, 13 miles south of Munising, on Highway H-13, then 1/2 mile NW on FR-2262.
You will find at Widewaters Campground the opportunity to pursue whatever activities you desire whether it be canoeing, fishing, hiking, or just camping in a peaceful, quiet environment.

There are 34 large forested, well-spaced sites affording privacy and seclusion at each camping unit. Approved drinking water pumps and vault toilets are conveniently placed throughout the campground. Tables and grills are at each site.
The campground area provides an atmosphere of relaxation. There are benches along the river where one might observe the anglers or do some bird watching, and if lucky catch a lovely sunset.
The hiking enthusiast will find this campground an excellent home base when joining the 7 mile loop of Bruno''s Run Hiking Trail as it winds its way through the lakes of the area and along the Indian River.
Widewaters affords boat access at the site to the Indian River, Fish Lake and several other lakes close by. The fishing for brook trout is excellent.
Fishing regulations are governed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and are subject to change. Up-to-date information can be obtained by contacting one of our offices or by picking up a current Michigan Fishing Guide.
The Indian National Wild and Scenic River provides an ideal setting for canoeing or fishing. Boat accesses are available at the campground and also up river at Fish Lake.
A convenience store with camping supplies, fishing and hunting equipment, and gasoline, is located north of the entrance on FH-13.
Widewaters Campground is a fee area and is operated and maintained by a private concessionaire. Golden Passports are accepted.
