Airports
The Pellston Regional Airport provides service to the Mackinac Island area and is located approximately 15 miles south of Mackinaw City. Northwest Airlines provides flights to airports in Detroit, Chicago, and Minneapolis.

Basic Directions
Mackinac Island is located just east of St. Ignace on Lake Huron. It is northeast of Mackinaw City, between the Lower and Upper Peninsulas of Michigan.
There are no motor vehicles allowed on Mackinac Island, so in order to get to Mackinac Island you must travel by ferry or air.
You must first travel to the Mackinac Bridge which is located either at Mackinac City in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan or St. Ignace in the Upper Peninsula. From here, scheduled ferryboat service is available throughout the day. There is plenty of parking available on the mainland at all ferry docks. Ferry tickets may be purchased on arrival at the docks. The Mackinac Island Ferries are listed below:

Air taxi service is available between Mackinac Island and Pelliston, as is taxi service between Pelliston and the ferry docks.
Once on the island the transportation is limited to horse and buggy, bicycle or foot. If you do not have your own bike a well known bike rental company on the island is:
